It is with great joy that we announce that the IX Infecto Rio will take place between the August 7th and 9th, 2024 and will be held in conjunction with the VI Latin American Travel Medicine Congress with a single registration for both events. For this great event, SIERJ and SLAMVI will hold an in-person event at the Hotel Windsor Marapendi in Barra da Tijuca to welcome the growing audience of both congresses.

The hotel has a privileged location on the beachfront and has a very comfortable structure for the conference, as well as good restaurants in the surrounding area.

​

The partnership between SLAMVI and SIERJ is a source of joy for both societies and a great opportunity for the congress attendees to exchange experiences and scientific updates with national and international speakers.

​

We are already preparing the organizing committee and the scientific program in advance, with care and dedication so that lectures and speakers are confirmed, and the success of previous editions is repeated.

 

It is also with great joy that we announce Dr. Ianick Souto Martins, Infectious Diseases specialist and professor of infectious diseases at the School of Medicine of the Universidade Federal Fluminense, as president of the IX Infecto Rio scientific committee and Dr. Cecília Perret as president of the VI Latin American Travel Medicine Congress scientific committee.

 

It is a tradition for both congresses to have professors and leading researchers in the major infectious diseases and travel medicine services in their scientific committees. It is a path we consider as one of the keys to a successful program, which will be pursued again in 2024.
